In Mexico the poor management of livestock wastewater (LW) and the low efficient system of treatment can lead to environmental problems. Chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPS) has multifaceted applications due to its low cost, nontoxicity, and biodegradability properties and they have been used in water treatment as a potential adsorbent of macropollutants and recalcitrant compounds.
